Scenic Outdoor Spring Wedding in Tennessee


Lauren and Thomas’s spring wedding at Leeric Lodge & Resort on Center Hill Lake was the perfect blend of elegance, intimacy, and natural Tennessee beauty. On April 5, 2025, they exchanged vows overlooking the lake, with spring blooms, heartfelt private moments, and a lively reception that even included celebrating the Florida Gators’ Final Four win.

Getting Ready at Leeric Lodge


The day began inside the lodge’s spacious bride and groom's suites, where Lauren slipped into her elegant gown while her bridesmaids laughed together on vintage seating. Her bouquet, filled with blush garden roses and pops of spring florals, set the tone for the entire day. Meanwhile, Thomas and his groomsmen gathered in the lodge’s green-walled lounge—adjusting ties, sharing drinks, and enjoying a calm start before the celebration.

First Look and Private Vow Exchange


Before the ceremony, Lauren and Thomas shared a quiet first look inside the lodge, followed by private vows that had both of them smiling through tears. It was such a personal way to slow down and soak in the moment before the festivities.

All Group Portraits Pre-Wedding Ceremony


Since Lauren and Thomas opted for a first look, it opened up the opportunity to complete full wedding party group portraits and family formal portraits before the wedding ceremony. This was fantastic since there were only a tiny handful of group portraits remaining after the ceremony, allowing more time for couple's portraits AND time for Lauren and Thomas to actually enjoy their cocktail hour.

A Wedding Ceremony With Lake Views


The ceremony took place outside on the lodge’s hillside overlooking Center Hill Lake. With a geometric arch draped in florals and a breezy Tennessee wind sweeping across the hill, it was a breathtaking setting. Guests cheered as Lauren and Thomas recessed hand in hand, framed by dramatic skies.

Wedding Portraits Before and After the Wedding


One of the best parts of this venue is how versatile it is for photography. We captured wedding party and family portraits pre-ceremony, then snuck away after the vows for golden-hour portraits overlooking the water. Just before the rain rolled in, Lauren and Thomas had the most stunning, windswept portraits with moody skies glowing over the lake.

Indoor Wedding Reception at Leeric Lodge


Inside, the reception space was warmly lit with candles and decorated with blue-and-white heirloom china, tying in timeless charm. Guests enjoyed heartfelt toasts, laughter, and plenty of dancing. And, in true Tennessee spring fashion, the rain came just after sunset—making the cozy indoor celebration even more magical.
